i pulled my turbo. going to pull it again this week or next week. (other mods/rebuild). it is not hard to do, just takes some time. there is a great writeup i have that i can give to you that goes through it in depth. you get better at it every time, hopefully you'll only need to do it once. i am pulling mine for the fourth time.

I put my WW in without removing the turbo - but I don't think that I'd recommend that to anyone. Just pull it and do the pedistal o-rings while you have it off - like Strokin said - it's really not that bad of a job!

Kris, which O-rings are you replacing each time, just the 2 on top of the pedastal or all of them? I have the 2 that came with my WW, but saw this kit from KCM: http://members.***.net/kcmdieselperformance/gaskets.htm

i tear the pedestal off and replace the lower rings too. i use the KCM diesel turbo bolt kit and seal kit. with blue bolts.i figure why not? you have them in the kit, you only need to remove 4 EASY 10mm bolts, and thats it. plus theyre oversize.

i have a whole new kit from KCM waiting in my box, (along with the new 7 pc. bolt kit) that im going to replace the o-rings again. plus a complete rebuild kit.

Where is a good place to get a new pedestal and rings and anything else that would be good to replace while I got it all off?

Catman, why would you not recomend doing the wheel while turbo is on the truck? Are there some problems that can occur or is it just a pain in the butt?
