If your clearly so intelligent and important with some self proclaimed power of having all the right answers, then why over the last decade of questions concerning fitment possibilities between a c4 transmission and a 223 engine was I the first to answer?
BTW. I dgaff what you call it . To me whether it contains a converter or a clutch or some fabled bell it's all the same.
I was using commonplace nomenclature accompanied with pictures and PART NUMBERS to answer a question.

YOUR WELCOME!

I had hoped that even a dummy would understand.
Seems to have somehow evaded your level of compression; what a shame.

It's real simple, kiddo...I type in 8 different forums, but I very rarely type in this forum. I happened to see this while scrolling thru "new posts."

And since most people do not have parts catalogs, and I do...I'm just the messenger, type what the catalogs state.

What a shame: It's obvious to me that you haven't a single clue how to differentiate a bell from a converter housing; ID engineering numbers from casting numbers from part numbers.

Seriously, Bill?

You're gonna pick on a guy for saying "bellhousing"?

For people looking for parts, the ENGINEERING NUMBER is THE PART # they are looking for. We get it, the part number cast into the part is not the "part #" - it's an "engineering number". Whoop-dee-doo.

Time to get down off that high-horse. You are a big help here, but sometimes you go too far.

The person in question posted USEFUL INFO - don't deride or ridicule someone who has obviously gone to the trouble of posting pictures and has done some actual WORK on the vehicles/engines in question.

Sigh...

Thank you,
Too anyone who understands what I was doing.

And especially Krewat for speaking out.
I do not have a problem doing so myself but sometimes fail to question the legitimacy before doing so.

And to you bill.
I find it ironic that you would mention the ss in regard to me and all the while it is you trying to force your ideals upon others.
I never contradicted your additional information, i just dont care.
keep that in mind.

A very wise man once told me
"An empty can rattles the most"

Also I don't need catalogs, I have the parts I need with the numbers on them.
Which is why I answered the question asked in this thread.

"How many do you have?"
Seems like maybe your trying real hard to make your self feel better by using this forum to knock down other people.
Hopefully things work out for you with the rest of your life. And you can continue to be useful, and stop trolling the Internet looking for victims.

Live long and prosper.
