The brakes on my '05 feel fine' but on FTE a few months ago there was talk about the rear brakes wearing out at around 25 to 35000 miles on some trucks. I checked mine and the rear pads were almost gone. I thought HOLY CRAP, since when does front pads go before rear? I put Duralast Gold Ceramics on the back and what a difference.

 

I used to not even check the rears until my second go around on the fronts. Of course that was w/ rear drums. I did have a Datsun back in '80 and I do recall having to replace all four disc pads at the same time. Guess that's a good thing (all four corners wearing evenly).
