OBDII Code P0266
In the last 2 month I have the following problem on my 03 F250.
The engine starts without problem, but very rough idle the first 5-10 minutes, like running on 6 or 7 cylinders. Scanner tool brings the following error codes :
P0266 " Cylinder 2 Contribution/Balance Fault"
and failures from the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor. But I think the last 2 comes from the rough idle.
I think the injector on cylinder 2 is the problem. Did anybody agree ?
Its a 03 F250 with now 110.000 k on it.
My problem : I live in germany, no official Ford dealers, no warranty, I have
to find the problem and I have to solve the problem.
My 96 F250 with the 7,3 PSD runs 8 years without any problems, the 03 have
broken flywheel, broken exhaust at turbo and now the engine problem......

Thank you guys, FTE helps me so much here in germany. Just looking on ebay for a injector, I hope he ships to germany.

Tomorrow I drive to Mannheim to a Ford Dealer who repairs US Army Fords.
I have detete the trouble code and it doesn´t come back, but the problems
are present.
Maybe it´s the ICP ??
-Or the IPR
On Idle the output voltage from the ICP gones from 0,98 to 1,8 on the cold engine.
After 5 - 10 minutes it´s o.k.

EBAY...... pick up a Ford Truck Repair CD for your year and engine. These are out dated manuals, all you have to do is set your computer date back for these to work.
I have a few spare injectors here if you need them. You will find injectors and turbo's on EBAY for a good price or let me know....I'll ship them to you.

I already own these cd´s and one injector...yes, from ebay :-)
At the Ford dealer they told me they get the new software in 10-12 days.
I hope this will fix the problem.

If your showing an injector imbalance, that usually points to a bad injector. Let me know if you need anything.......we can send parts your way to Germany.
Ebay is unusual, and a great place for some parts. I picked up a set of injectors because the guy was wanting to recover money he spent after trading in his truck and never installed the new injectors he bought.
