Going to purchase a 9 to 10.5 ft camper soon, looking now
for a good frame mount hold down system to hold it secure.
Does anyone use a system that they would like comment on?
Torklift is the way to go! Check them out at www.torklift.com
I have an early model system from them that didn't come with the spring loaded ends (althought I can add them if I want). I just use spring loaded turnbuckles. I have a very heavy 12 footer I haul and I've gone on extremely rough roads on BLM land with no problems.
You can also read a lot about campers in the slide-in forum over at www.irv2.com .
i have talked to a few people that have THESE and they like they alot. i even bought a set for my truck only to find out that you have to drop the fuel tank to install them on a short bed, so they went back and i put on the standard hold downs
