Dana 60 rear axle 16 and 30 spline

Dana 60 rear axle 16 and 30 spline
what years did rear dana 60s come with 30 spline axles vs. the 16 spline axles. I put a 30 spline in my truck but I have no idea what kind or year truck it came out of. Are the 30 splines stronger than the 16 spline

the 30 splines are stronger at the splines, but the diameter of the shafts themselves are the same

i think the 16 spline axles stopped in the early 70's, like 72 or so

Close. I think it was 74 or 75. I swapped out the ones on my 74 for 30s, so it was at least 74.
