fuel filter retaining clip?

I jsut changed the fuel filter on my 04 F150 SCab. Unfortunately, I used a little too much force and broke the blue retainer clip off. Anyone know where I would get a replacement? I've been to a few different parts stores and no luck. No one seems to know what I'm talking about. All they have are the U-shaped clips for the "older" Fords...

Im afraid you have to go visit your stealership. Just tell them what you broke off and they will be able to bring up the picture on their obsolete computer monitors. I'm sure the part is under $10 (they once charged me $8 for a clip that covers the screws on my door panel-clip behind the door handle)

Appreciate the info. I was actually worried that I'd have to replace the whole line. Guess I'll be making a trip to the dealer tomorrow...Thanks again!

Lots of the new style clips on different models only come with the line
I'm not sure about the blue one though. It really sucks ordering a whole line and then just using the clip and throwing out the rest.

That's what I was also thinking, but hoping that it wasn't the case. So today, I went to the dealer about that little clip. They wanted $105 for the nylon line from the pump to filter and includes the connector and clip. I can't just get the clip like you mentioned. If that's the case, I think I'll just go to the local parts store and get a replacement line with a new connector and older style clip for much cheaper.

Ford's OEM prices are as high as BMWs. And believe me, for small parts such as screws and clips, Ford is more expensive than BMW....I once paid $8.00 for two screws that mount on the bottom side of a door panel...

Sounds like a trip to the junk yard is in order. Maybe you can find a wrecked '04 F150 to pick off of.

NAPA has a repair kit part number 730-4913 for about $30 to repair that.

I was going to go to a yard, but been calling around and none here seem to have anything past mid-90s models. Thanks, Grandpa, I saw a similar kit at another parts store yesterday for about 15 or 20 bucks.

Thanks, everyone!

I broke mine also. I refused to pay for a whole new line. I used a nylon "zip tie". No problems for 5000 miles now.
