Expedition AWD
I am interested in buying a 1998-2000 expedition. Do these vehicles have a 2wd postion or are they always in 4wd? How does there gas mileage compare to the 2wd model? Thks for any info thrown my way. Jim

the a4wd is two wheel drive period,the only dif is if the rears slip the clutch in the transfercase grabs the front wheels and transfers the power to the fronts! nice i think.
this way you saveon fuel but not on saftey (smart) 4hi is 4 hi all 4 all the time(not good) and 4 low u must stop and drop to neuteral and switch.
