No compression in #2! Arghh! Newbie

99 F-250 LD 5.4 auto I have been hunting out a miss and after doing plugs and swapping coils I finally did a compression test and found 5psi in Cylinder #2. I have not done a leakdown test yet but I was wondering other than a burnt valve could something else be amiss? Bad lifter or broken valve spring? Is there someway to tell if the valve is closing the whole way? Can I remove the rockers in the truck? I was thinking I could maybe remove the rockers on #2 and do a leakdown to be certain I have to take the head off. This has me sick to my stomach. I just bought the truck and it had a miss, at the time I was thinking plugs and a few coil packs and I'm good to go. Well this puts the icing on the cake! I am posting in hopes that something like this has happened to someone else on here and it hopefully isn't a burnt valve. Any help suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Nathan

Probably A Valve. Do Your Leakdown Test And We'll Know More. Also Could Be A Piston Ring. Take The Rocker Off, That Way You'll Know The Valves Are Closed.

How hard is it to get a rocker out? Can I just compress the valve a little and slide it off the lash adjuster?

jsut take the valve cover off and look first. at top dead center you should have clearance between the rocker face. you might see something quick.

Did a leak down tonight without rockers on and it was 6%, The intake valve adjuster is holding the valve open and it drops to 85% leakdown. So... tell me there are shorter lash adjusters for when a valve job is done? I so hope there are, I am not pulling the head for one stupid valve hanging open a few thou. Thanks
