1988 7.3 Filler Pipe replace

Has anyone used the Ford replacement part to change their filler pipe? I got to TSB but wanted to know if anyone went this route. The front tank and rear tank are both giving me problems but I am going to fix them one at a time because I am a poor college student. The part numbers are FOTZ-9034-G and FOTZ-9034-L Let me know Also how well did this fix work?

I pulled the filler neck out on mine and removed the inner vent tube.
Then replaced the filler neck.
Works much better for me, only cost me time.

i plumbed in a 105 gallon tank into the front filler by yanking the vent tube and bending a piece of 2" exhaust pipe to fit...worked great...

Still slow taking fuel

Today, I pulled out the inner tube on my front tank and it still doesnt want to take fuel. I will take fuel for a second but then backs up. It seems to me that the fuel is pooling in the filler neck hose. Got any advice. I do not believe the neck is clogged but I guess I could check. What else can I do?
