Arrow 2001 Sportrac -Turn Signal Flasher location?

I have a 2001 explorer sportrac and my turn signals are not functioning. The Hazards work fine.

I bought a new flasher unit but I can't find the bad flasher, to replace it.

Does anyone know where it's located on the 2001 Exploerer sportrac?

Tim

Your owners manual will tell you where it is.

Cannot find it in the owners manual

I Cannot find the location of the flasher realy in the owners manual.

I would suspect that its under the dash near the stearing wheel column but I've not been able to locate it.

the hazard flasher and the turn signal are in the same package but have two diffront sources of power I would check the turn signal fuse for starters and then check the flasher. the flasher is not as standard part it has 5 terminals on it in my book it is under the center of the steering colum.

I hope this helps

If it's the same as a 97, you're right, it's under the dash near the steering column.

On the 97 theres 2 fuses wired to a single flasher that controls turn sigs & emergency flashers, and the flasher is wired to the multifunction switch. I suspect yours is the same, and I would'nt be surprised if a new flasher does'nt fix this. But It might be that half of the flasher has gone open.

If the new flasher doesnt fix it, it's probably a bad multifunction switch. Take a look at the wiring diagram for an 01.
