next summer i am going to be doing some major upgrades to my truck. tear the engine down and build it up, chromos in the front, and either chromo 35 spline in the rear with an ARBs front and rear or i found a full floater kit from warn for the rear end. http://www.jamesduff.com/eb/warn.html i was thinking about that in 35 spline with an arb would be about as bullet proof as you can get. what i am wondering is if anyone has used this kit or a full floater kit on a 9" and if you can keep the stock brakes.
i answered my qestion about brakes, i found the kit on currie's site and it says for use with 11" dums which the stock drums are, so im good on that and they have the 35spline one ton kit on there for the same price.
so if nobody has this kit looks like my truck might be the guinea pig for this one next summer. i know it could be cheaper to buy a one ton axle and mount it, but i like the 9". plus my dad likes auto hubs but i keep trying to push manual hubs on him becuase one of his gernaded itself, and if i get this kit i can rub it in that i like manual hubs so much i got them on all 4 corners. but then again i think ill go with drive flanges becuase some little punk that knows what they are could pop the rear ones while im sittin on a hill and send it rolling.
