Steering problems

Have a steering problem with a 1997 F350. Seems to be more when it's cold out than warm. I had noticed the wheel pulling to the left and increasing in force. When I turned the wheel a 1/4 to 1/3 to the right it would pop back and act normal for a while(a minute or 2). Then it would do it again. Had the left upper and lower ball joints replace as they had a minute amount of play in them. This was supposed to fix the problem. It warmed up some and the problem seemed to be fixed. Cold weather is back and so is the problem. Any ideas?

sounds like the steering box has something broke inside of it. check to see if the back pump bolts are tight. its where the shaft goes in the 4 bolts below that.
