Hello to all,

I'm a newmember here in FE and happy to be part of this site. I just bought a Ford F-250XLT Lariat w/ 90.340miles xtd cab fullsize bed, 460 7.5L V8. I'm the second owner and very exited about this truck. I would like to improve the brakes, any suggestions will help? Also i noticed a lot of rust spots on the roof area also the rear window panel area. How to I fix rust spots? The biggest one is about 1/2 in in diameter.

I am currently doing this to my truck,

I just repaired the rust spots on the hood, now there are a couple on the roof. I suggest getting some 100 grit sand paper along with some 200 grit and sanding the spots right down to the bare steel. Then jsut get some primer and put a few coats on the area. You can either fill the area with a light coat of bondo, but really you wont be able to tell up there that its been sanded so I would just go ahead and get some automotive matching spray paint and give it like 5-6 light coats of paint.

If it doesnt match your original paint, at least the rust is repaired until you can get a pait job/body work done.

Good advice. Check out Rust Bullet to prime the prepared spots. The last thing you want is for the spots to start rusting again. Click on the link in the list of sponsors.
