The heads are D3VE A2A the springs on them look alot heavier than stock ones I've seen.The block is D1VE-a2b I didn't get a number off of the pistons but they were ford but extremely domed with cut outs for the valves.
Scratch the block. The guy I got it from said that this wasn't the block it came with, so I don't know the # of it.

Sounds like somebody put a CJ intake on a standard engine. Based on your observation about the valve springs, I'd pull the intake and see if there has been some head work done. You may have lucked into a set of ported heads.
