Popping noise
My Expedition with a 5.4L triton has around 80,000 miles on it. On occation (once or twice a day) it makes a subtle popping noise that I faintly feel in the steering wheel. I've had new brakes and rotors put on and all joints checked under the front end. Could this be a transmission problem? It seems to run and act fine other than the occational "pop". I've checked for fluid leaks and none are present. Should I take it to the dealership or is there something else I should check first?
