Just thought I'd post a few pix of my latest mods.
I rebuilt my homade dash to to tilt the guages back like the stock dash.
Removed the key switch and built a toggle/push-button start.
Did the twin stick conversion with all homemade parts. Including H-N-L LED indicators on the dash for each shifter.
I have my 4-link rear end all designed, just waiting on the funds to get started.
Yup. I took the orginal, busted up, plastic door panels off a few years ago and made new ones out of masonite. The original door handles stuck out pretty far without the arm rest on there and kept gashing up my elbows. While searchnig for new door handles, the horse shoer came out to put new shoes on my daughter's horse and asked me if I wanted the old shoes. The first thing that came to mind was "Hey. New door handles".
how did you get the hln led indicators to actuate???
The dash is made from 1/8" lexan (probably should've gone thicker) and spray painted from the back.
The LED indicators for the twin sticks and the tanny are pretty simple. I used 2"x4" plastic project boxes and circuit boards from radio shack. On the circuit board are reed switches that colse when a magnet is near them. The magnet is on a coat-hanger linkage connected to the shifters. Not the most scientific setup, but it hasn't failed me yet.
hey ive always liked your truck i kinda steal ideas from ya but hey i put my cb there first.lol keep an eye on your email ill try to get ahold of ya if ya dont mind.
