18, male, no accidents, no reportable tickets (< 5mph)
1995 F-150 XLT 4x4 351w
Insurance for my truck is ~$450 every 6 months, about $75/month. I guess insurance looks at it like my parent's vehicle and my sister's car as my vehicle, because insurance on her '96 Grand Am (3rd car on policy) is ~$600 every 6 months or $100/month.

cuda you got full coverage on that?

Mine is $470 every six months for my truck, and $154 ever 6 months for my car. Liability only on both, no tickets, not accidents, good student discount. The reason the car is so cheap is because both vehicles are under my parents name, but since the car is the 5th vehicle, and we only have 4 licensed drivers in my family, it falls under an adult rate. Got to love that. thats only $25 for the car and $78 a month for the truck. Not to shabby.

For the most part, most of you guys are making out pretty good.

38, married, no tickets from me or the wife (daughter has a couple). We pay 2300/yr (through State Farm) for full coverage on my 03 4x4 Ranger, wife's 03 Sebring, daughter's 00 Mustang, my 04 Ninja 636, and our homeowners insurance.

I don't remember the exact break down, but I think my Ranger is around $500/ yr.

For those of you looking for cheeper insurance take a look at esurance. That is the company that I use and they were quite a bit cheeper than any of the others that quoted me.

Hey tekrsq just a fair warning. I dont know about state farm in your area, but around here i'd rather do my insurance through a crack dealer. The people from State Farm insurance are the biggest bunch of criminals we've ever met. Our town was hit by a tornado in 98, the tornado wasnt the actual biggest pain in the butt, State Farm insurace was. The adjuster was a dick, saying that there were pre-existing cracks in the house so they shouldnt have to fix them. Ya, well a crack is one thing, the 4 inch gap it turned into because of the house shifting is another. My dad finally kicked him out of the house. Always wanted to show up and cut you a check for a small amount of money that wouldnt cover anywhere near the amount of damage that was done. Then the claim would be settled and they would save money while you'd be screwed. My dad had learned quick from this one.... He had a claim on his truck when it was newer (83 ford pickup) had hail damage or he backed into something, dont remember, but they sent out a "state farm" estimator and settled on say a $500 check. Went to get it fixed, and go figure costed like $750 or something like that. They do that crap all the time. Also after the tornado they owed us like $2000 and were refusing to pay, asked our lawyers to give them a call, after that we had the check within 2 hours.

Read some of these claims. I found them by just typing in state farm into a search engine. http://www.carreview.com/cat/automob...x.aspx#reviews

Every now and then, I'll here of somebody getting screwed by them, but for the most part, they do a good job (atleast around here). FAR better than other companies like Nationwide, Geico, Erie, etc. I've had SF for almost 20 yrs now, and never had a problem with claims. I have been a complete *** making sure they can't get out of "little" loop holes like tornado damage. EVERYTHING is spelled out in a signed letter from my agent (in layman terms) EXACTLY what my policy covers. Just in case some administrator tries to screw me down the road. I would do this with any insurance company, not just SF.

25, married, own my own home, 03 CC SB 4x4 F250 V10 full coverage, 00 Lumina LS (liability and comp), 03 Taurus SES (liability and comp), with a 5 point speeding ticket (76 in a 55) I pay $723/6 months so about $1450/year. My next bill will go down nearly $400/year because my speeding tick will be removed from my record so I'll be down around $1000-$1100 per year for all three. Of course this is both for me and my wife but she has never had any traffic infractions. I thought mine was pretty cheap considering I'm insuring 3 vehicles all 2000 or newer and two people for a grand per year. Mine is also a little higher and would be another $200/year cheaper but my house is located 35 miles from town and the ins. Co. frowned upon the amount of miles we drive per year.

Its because you have nuts and you're 16. Wait until you turn 25, and get married, it will drop like a rock.
