vintage56,

Tried to send you a pm but you've hit your quota. Let me know what kind of shape the wheels/tires are in. Mine are all mis-matched on my '53, so I'm in the market. Also if it has an interior cab heater grille, painted front hood emblem, maybe some other small items. Looks like you got a good deal to me. You can probably part out many items on eBay and come out a couple of thousand ahead.

That truck don't look too bad for $500.00. I purchased a '55 for $950.00 in about the same shape. I'd imagine you could make more by parting it out.

I've found and bought lots of parts for my '60 on e bay. Bought inner fenders but only one was good. Fortunately it was the one I needed. Wish I'd known so I could have saved shipping costs. But all in all, so far so good. Just be careful and know what you are buying is right for your truck. I bought a horn button before I found out (through this place) that it was not for my custom cab. Good hunting and good luck!

I think ebay has its place in the parts market. I have bought and sold several items there. I have had more luck finding the parts I need for my current project than I have with the rest of the internet sites. About 2 months ago I found a crome grill for my '60 Mercury truck and I didn't have to leave my living room. If you know what you are looking at they have a lot to offer. I've only had one time I couldn't get my item that I paid for. I had used Paypal so they went after the seller and returned my money. Like everything else, "Buyer beware".
