I think the fender flares will help resist rusting of the fender wheel wells, a lady at work has a 2000 F150 with them and they look pretty sharp..

Will the 2007 SD delivered this summer have the new sheet metal or will they look like the 2006 SD? I have a 2006 6.0 on order, but if I can get a 6.0 in the new sheet metal I may wait a while.

Maybe the holes in the fender are just there so that the camo can be easily attatched. I'm not so sure flares would look good.

with all the problems people have had with the 6.0, why would you want the new body style and that motor? i think the new body style will have the 6.4L. who knows if they'll postpone it or not. could just be rumors that its pushed back to 2007 for the 08 MY

I really do not believe that the 6.0 is a bad motor. Yes there was some early problems, but the vast majority have been trouble free. I appreciate this & other truck forums, however most people that work these trucks never visit any forums. My dad had a 04 that gave him 66k trouble free miles. He just traded this week for a new 2006 6.0. He uses his truck daily on the farm. I do not want the unknow of the 6.4, however it too will probably be very good. The emission standards & cost of the 6.4 concern me the most.
