Yancey..got mine 11/28/05, then it cost $113. Don't know what it is now, though.

Got it from:

FordParts.com
c/o Titus-Will Ford
3606 S. Sprague Ave
Tacoma, WA 98409-7444
(sorry I don't have the phone #)

There was talk Ford was going to jack up the price once they caught on that people were buying these for retrofit, and looks like that happened.

At $113, it was worth it. I wouldn't pay much more because the bars are just chromed plastic strips; not billet material. It still looks good, and has grown on me, especially since I removed the 2" blocks under the rear axle and leveled out the truck.

last time i checked, the price was around $250 and that was three weeks ago before ordering Carriage Works BILLET replacement grill and i even got a grill for the bumper. Paid less than what I would have for the HD grill

You can bet the same "inflation" will hit the OEM HD headlights and taillights...what are they, $175 now? They'll be over $300 by Easter!

As others have pointed out, a good relationship with someone in a dealership parts department is worth developing. Because of this, I am able to purchase parts at a pretty good discount off list price.

As far as $450 for the HD grill, forget it. It's all plastic and not worth any where near that much since there are lots of cheaper alternatives.

Would you happen to have the part numbers for the HD headlights and maybe a place to get them please.

Thanks Jon

Jon...the part numbers are buried in this thread:

<a href="https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-465166-Couple%20of%20Questions%20%3A%2006%20Harley%20D.%2 0Lights%20%26amp%3B%20Stereo%20Question.">Couple of Questions : 06 Harley D. Lights & Stereo Question.</a>

When I got my grill, I just searched many places online and found the best price. You should start with FTE sponsors (always listed at the top of the page) and work from there.

Good luck!

yancey...on the HD headlights, the entire "background" is black - everything except for the head- and running-light reflector bowls and the small amber reflector on the side (required by DOT??). So instead of this huge rectangle of chrome, you have a more "sinister" look in the assemblies.

I haven't tried looking them up, but go to Ford's official web site and see if you can find the '06 Harley Davidson edition....that'll give you an idea of their appearance. In the thread I ref'd above, one poster said the p/n's are the same for standard and HD versions, you just have to specify "chrome" or "black".

I've also heard of aftermarket vendors for the same type of assemblies, but there was mention that the sealing of the unit was not good and condensation was a problem. That's why I would look at Ford's OEM only.

efiguero is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I did a bunch or research on pricing for the HD Headlights and Tail lights, the best deal was through an FTE sponsor. Here is his pricing:

"Tail lights list for $37.75 ea FTE $27.18 ea plus shipping
colored headlights list $172.60 FTE $124.27
If you do want them go to my site and click on contact us link and send me a note and i'll add the part numbers and send you the links to part you need.
