BFGoordrich AT tire wear

Im looking at new tires, one of my choises is the BFG goodrich A/T tire, I have heard they wear quickly, How long will they last with mostly pavement driving. They look perfect, i just dont want to have to spend like 600 dollars every 2 years on tires.

I have seen them last a long time and i have seen them get chewed up it depends on your driving style. I just bought 4 Geolander's A/T for my Dad's Ranger and so far they ride nice they are a 10 ply tire but they do have a lot more tread patch that contacts the road. Just do a search and you'll see the tread pattern. They are i think cheaper and might last you longer than BFG's.

My friend just got the Yokohama Geolander A/T's as well. They came with a 40,000 mile treadlife guarantee too. He got all 4 tires (285/75/16) for $400 brand new.

They will last a long time if you can get the tread to wear evenly. Cupping and unever wear is a big problem with the BFG all terrains

I love those BFG ATs; had 2 sets on my Bronco. They are the best all around tire I've found. Quiet on the highway, good ride, decent wear, and good in snow.

Good to see you on the forum, DaveBowman. I watch your show every week. That Sam Memolo is a hoot.....

That Dave Bowman is a pansy!

What show do they have now? I havn't seen the other Dave Bowman and Sam Memallo since they were on Shadtree Machanic back when the now SpikeTV was TNN, and when they called it The Nashville Network, before they changed it to The National Network. That was probable 10 years ago at least. Am I missing something without the Dish?

Ha ha, yes you are. The show is now "Two Guys Garage", and they've added a third guy also named Dave ???Somebody. Dave Bowman is still on the show, but he dosen't get his hands dirty anymore, just stands there and tries to look good. It's still my favorite of all the car and truck shows.
