everyone has their own opinion but I know my ranger and it takes skill to tow a lot of weight with these little trucks.

Going even further off topic...
The rearmost leaf spring bracket on my '91 was attached to the frame with rivets. I drilled out the rivets and put on new brackets, flipped upside down. The OEM leaf springs were a bit lopsided and were replaced with Deaver leaf springs. I gained a ton of travel while keeping the vehicle at the same level.

I had an 84Ranger, 2.3 5speed. I was renting a little house and took a lowboy of hay to it to insulate the foundation. I don't know know how much weight was on there....but I do know I nearly lost it because it wasn't loaded evenly, as in too much weight on the front, which took most of the weight off the steer tires. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
