HELP..........me find beerstock in WV

Hi guys, as you may have guessed by the title I am trying to find some information about Beerstock that is annually held in the Davis WV area. Does anyone know when and where it is? The only web reference to it I have found says it is the last week of April but a guy I spoke to said it is towards the mid to the end of March. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Dave

Wonder if there would be any info on the Canaan Valley or WV state websites?

I have a couple of phone numbers for Davis that I will try this weekend.
I tried the Canaan Valley site and found nothing, but that is a state owned ski area.
WV state page has nothing listed for it in the tourism page either.

That should be a good draw for people if they could find out about it, most of the people I know like to do a few 12 oz curls for weekend exercise.

How far are you from Clarksburg?
Or how far off Route 50?

Yeah it would be a good attraction Dave, but a lot of the estabishments in the area probably think they are too good for a bunch of drunk "rednecks" or "hillbillies" and dont want to be asociated with it. My friends and I have heard about it all the way across the state by pretty much word of mouth, just imagine what would happen if it was publisized(sp?).

The whole weekend is just muddin and drinkin, responsibly im sure
strange thing is ive done quite a few of those 12 oz. curls myself on the weekends but they dont do much for my biceps, but they sure are killer on my abs, they went from a six pack at highschool graduation to a keg when I graduated from Glenville State. Maybe I need to increase them to 16s or 40s?

Im about 8m. from the Doddridge/Tyler line traveling north on Rt18

I have only been down in that area two or three times.

A place called Center Branch I think it was and another called Alvy which is probably spelled wrong.

You are not that far from me though.

Yeah Dave, Alvy isnt very far away from me at all, I live in Alma, a friend owns some property in Alvy and thats usually where we go to play in the mud on holiday weekends. Its all way off any public roads and we dont have to worry about police or endangering the public on the roads. Theres a couple of guys from your neck of the woods that comes over once in a while to play in the mud with us(but they drive chevies). Theyre from the clarksburg/bridgeport area, they work over at pratt & whitney(sp?) with a friend.

LOL, pmasley, maybe you were there and thats why you cant remember.
thanks lancemacman? that sounds better than the middle of march. Were planning on bringing our bikes this year and hopefully our trucks next year.
It does sound like a blast, we used to take our bikes to power line park outside of St Clairsville OH but its gettin old and we need to find a new place. Is beerstock on private property or state? Just wonderin bout police being an issue.

Blackwater falls, on rt 93. Easy. folks start showing up as soon as the wed of that week. Not much of a hillbilly, if ya can't find blackwater falls.
They come from wheeling, maryland, pennsylvania, parkersburg... they come outta the woodwork.
Used to be problems with the law, we've moved the play area away from the hardroad and the cops leave us alone, just stay off hardroad and it's fine.
Davis welcomes us, quite a boost for their economy every year, and the community seems to love it.
You don't hear much about it, other than word of mouth, cause it isn't an organized event, just a happening. They do have event tees though.
We give a trophy to the truck that puts on the best show, itsa gnarly trophy, beat up, banged up, duct tape and zip ties with a hunk o chain.
This will be the tenth anniversary, expecting large turnout.
Live to mud, mud to live.

Sure you can. Just go to Lewisburg and shoot straight up 219. Well... not literally straight... This is 219 after all

I'm gonna have to check my schedule.
