Aod Tranny problems
Ok i just got a 88 bronco 2 and it has some tranny problems manual 1 and 2 work but no drive or overdrive. is it a comon problem or somthing serious. if some one can help it would be big help thanx

I have rebuilt mine several times also.. If you don't have 3rd or 4th you broke something in the lockup system it's either the converter, the input shaft, or the direct clutch drum.. (or a failure of the splines connecting the components)... (I personally have broken every single part of the lockup system ATLEAST once in my 5.0.. LOL)

If you want to try and rebuild it yourself get the Technical Videos "Aod rebuild video" it is worth it's weight in gold.. It's very detailed..
The rebuild kit you should be able to pick up for about $100-$120
