Engine mounting brackets

Fixi'n to start new project 59 F100, and trying to maintain with all FORD parts, if possible. Plan on removing a 64 292,(mounted with front engine mount) and I'm wanting to install a 75 300 cid motor (side engine mounts); I have the engine mounts and even the brackets from which I remove the engine from my last project which was in a 65 F100; but the straight axle for which you all know doesn't accommendate for the IFS engine mounting brackets.
The 59 has been converted to a 4x4 dana front axle (year unknown as of yet). Was hoping to find a bronco or 4x4 truck in salvage yard? but don't what year range to pulled from if its even possible to due.

Thanks for any suggestion and ideals...

Mitch

When I put the 390 in my '56 I used the crossmember engine mount kit from transdapt. Worked real slick.

It seems that all after market only deal with V-8 conversion's, I beleive a 300 cid would be to tall to accomendate using a V-8 crossmember. I'm looking at using my 65 mount and modifieding them to work.

Check to see it the 75 300 has the bolt hole bosses for a front mount - they changed the block casting about that year. If so, and you are using the original tranny mounts, you can use the front mount out of any six for that year.

*****; thanks for your reply; I did go and check the front side perches on my 300; it seems to have four mounting bosses (two vertical sets) on the drivers side in front of the fuel pump housing area, and two vertical holes on the passenger side near water pump housing; I due remember that when I pulled the engine from my 65, the power steering was attach to acouple holes on the drivers side. Been told that those bosses won't hold up to engine torque??? They seem to be excatly like the originial mounting bosses. As of right now I don't plan on putting power steering on the 59, just want a good pulling engine, that's relatively aviable, for which my 75 300 is complete. I'm hoping to beable to mount it directly to the four speed for which is attach to a 64 292 engine (status of engine unknown). So the trans mount will be use; if bellhousing mount algin up. I will try to find a 64 below salavage truck to retreive the six cylinder mount and purchase new bushing from and after market supplier.
Thanks for bring this to light for me and hopefully beable to install this combo..

I am not an expert - but I believe the 65/66 240s and 300 ci inline 6 used this mount. It sure would be slick if you could buy stock motor mounts from NAPA and have them work.
