1974 F100; I would like to take the front end off to do some general cleaning and remove the engine and check / replace the radiator core support frame. Can I do this in a few days with average mechanical ability?
Anybody ever done it? Lots of oil and grease and gunk from years of abuse from previous owner - it would just seem like I could pressure wash everything so much better during my week of vacation in a few weeks...If I had the front of the truck off. Is it a one person job, as I have no family?
Mark, Remove the bolts where the fenders connect to the cab, and the two where the support bolts to the chassis, your radiator, and wiring and remove the complete front clip. Piece of cake. You can do it by yourself, but a bud helping with the lifting would be nice.
