99 F250 Crew Cab Diesel Bass?
I am looking to get a little more bass out of the stereo system insatlled in my truck. I have replaced the stock speakers with Pioneer 5x7s and they sound awesome, but lack the bass i want. Now i dont want to be heard 2 blocks away, just a little more punch inside the cab. I have thought about a bazooka bass tube due to the limited amount of space behind the rear seat, but thought I would ask the experts before i did anything.
Thanks in advance.

It might also depend on which speakers you have. When I first went to Pioneer speakers, I bought what was in stock at Pepboys, lower-end two ways. They were obviously better than stock, but still lacked something. I then switched to a much higher quality Pioneer four way speaker and it was a major improvement, especially at the bottom end. Just my three cents.

I've got an Infinity BassLink T subwoofer coming UPS on tuesday to mount in my '99 F-250. I'm hoping this will give me that good deep sound that I want without disturbing my neighbors 2 blocks away, which it should. I'll post back when I get it installed this week.

I picked one up off eBay for $290 with shipping brand new.

THIS IS IT!!!!!
It took me about 1 1/2 hrs to install with 2 trips to hardware store for wire This thing is awesome. The sound is great, its actually more than I was expecting. Hits hard and deep. Fits perfect behind the rear seat. I suggest going this route if you are looking for something pre-fab and easy to do. 20' 10ga wire to battery through firewall grommet where clutch would go, 6' 10ga wire to driverside rear speaker panel (theres a factory harness ground there), supplied RCA cables with 6' extension add to head unit (dang supplied cables where just a little too short) and 16' 14ga wire to remote turnon for amp. I routed the remote and RCA along passenger side kick panel and the power wire on driver side. Ground wire tucks nicely beneath rear carpet then up the inside of the rear speaker panel.
Like I said earlier, if I had to do this again this would be what I would do!

I haven't listened to it with the seat down other than initial dialing in of the amp, so to me it doesn't sound muffled, just good clean deep hitting bass.
As far as the seat, I've got about 2 inches at the bottom between the sub and seat, up top I'm not sure how much room but I'm pretty sure it doesnt rub.
edit: sorry for the crappy pictures, I was using a computer that didnt have photo editing software.
