lift kit and drive line ?

what is the biggest lift I can put on a 86 f-150 4x4 and not have to get new driveshafts ?

what all is involved with installing a 4 inch lift ?

Install axle drop brackets, pitman arm, Extended brake lines;or extensions, radius arms; new or drop brackets, shocks, springs F/R and/or blocks.

thnaks a million. i think i'll just go with a 4 or 6 inch lift. most likely a cheap rough country lift.

Remember you get waht you pay for when it comes to lifts. If you are making a trial rig I would look into something a little more but just a DD go for it. they make a good mall crawler and huntin lifts.

That's somewhat true. As far as Superlift and Skyjacker goes, you're paying for the name. A lot of these guys that I've talked to that have the afore mentioned brands have never owned anything but those brands. But they're always knocking the lesser when in fact they don't know the quality! Tuff Country Is another low-cost brand that is actually pretty good.
