limited slip differential oil in a standard differential

Is is ok to use limited slip gear oil in a standard differential?
75 ford f 100 standard 9" w/third member/ 2 wheel drive

yes it will be fine. but the added expense and friction modifier are not needed . but it will not cause any harm.
