F250 is this a good deal?

I found a 1979 Ford F250 4x4 at my local junk yard, it has a flat bed, plow, and ran when it came in (no carb now) he is asking $300. is this a devorced or maried T case? the body is shot. and what motor is most likely in this? its a V8 and had a 2barrel on it.

Thanks in advance, Matt

Its most likely a 351M or a 400 witha Married t-case. $300 isnt a bad deal if it runs, you could probably get that much out of the plow.

Matt, it's definitely worth $300 assuming that the axles, tranny and transfer case are worth parting out or even squirreling away for a project later on. You could easily get $300 for them. If the front axle is a Dana 60 (unlikely, but not unheard of) then the axle alone is worth three times the asking price.
