This is what the new SD front end will look like

Navistar did build and test a smaller V-8 diesel prototype for the new F-150s about a year and a half ago. They met all requirements by Ford, but could not get the interior decibel level low enough to please Ford with Ford hyping the quiet cab-design of the new F-150. Navistar even built a new plant to manufacture the engine but lost the contract. No idea on the engine size or the program name.

I like the looks of the new front end. My wife currently has a 2000 Expedition. I'll wait a year (for any bugs to be worked out) then I'll seriously considered trading for one of these. I can't imagine the 07 superduty looking too similar to this, Ford is pretty good at making the SD unique compared to the rest of it's trucks.

Too bad it's going to be so low to the ground. Hang a winch or snowplow in the front and hit the concrete going into a driveway. Just like the chevies. Ever looked at a 3500 4x4 chev???
They are afraid the big truck might scuff up a Toyota to bad if they keep them in the air like a truck should be. The off road guys are going to just laugh. They should just put the badge "250 Ranchero" on them.
With all the plant closures this year I would be very careful about getting a 07...
