I have named a couple of different companies on this subject before. I don't know who the best is but I can tell you that I have bought fenders from Midwest Early Ford and I was very pleased with there fenders and running boards. I have helped install fenders from Wescott also and I think they have a good product to. They fenders I bought was for a 46 1/2 ton truck and the fenders I helped my buddy install was for a 48 F1. All I can say is when you install repro fenders take your time and don't let it get to you. B/c they can be a pain sometimes.

FWIH: There is a supplier out in the midwest that has started manufacturing 53-56 fenders recently using the original FoMoCo tooling that guarantees they fit properly. Most others use the same overseas supplier.

I don't know exactly, someone else might know the name of the company but he does offer them on ebay pretty regularly.
I looked on ebay I think it's Mac's F100's out of MO.

His fronts say from new dies. His running boards and rears say from original dies made in USA?
I don't need fenders so I haven't investigated in depth.

I dont now how accurate the FoMoCo deal is becuase I belive Dennis Carpenter Bought Most all of Fords Dies. He is out of NC, I have bought alot of his original tooling parts but not fenders. He is a little salty on price with some things. O.K. I just looked up in the Dennis Carpenter catalog-The rear fenders are Orig. Tooling and cost $325.00 (Steel) Ea, and Front are imported and cost $395.00 (Steel) Ea. So there may be someone else who has the dies for the fronts.

i have a tail gate and running boards from carpenters that are from "original dies" and am happy with them. i wish the imported parts were as nice. usually they are too thin at the very least. i have a front valance that is imported and it is too thin, but at least it fits well, which some import parts don't.

Note that Ford had a number of stamping plants producing parts, and more than 1 set of dies at each, I greatly doubt Dennis bought all of them, since they are HUGE and heavy. A single press is the size of a good sized building. I only heard or read something somewhere that there was someone besides Carpenter stamping their own parts here in the states, I may have the wrong supplier?

You may be right Ax, I just heard that Carpenter bought the liscensing rights and all along with the presses. I think I read it in Classic Trucks a couple months back-wait it was the same issue as the f100 nats coverage I think, Like I said I could be wrong.

Having dealt with Carpenter for years (sometimes Im stuck with sole source repop crap) I wouldnt believe much of what he says.
His web does not claim "exclusive" rights that Ive noticed on the Ford tooling.

Anyone here deal with Sacramento Vintage Ford for their sheetmetal?

If I ever decide to buy any large items from them, such as fenders, etc., it's just a 90 minute ride; instead of paying for shipping.
