Where was my X made?

I know it was originally sold by Jackson Ford here in Michigan, but is there a way to find out where it was made?

I'm fairly sure that almost all Excursions and Super Duties are born out of the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant or "KTP". If you check out some othere SD owners trucks there should be a sticker somewhere on the windshield that says the same.

Every Super Duty and Excursion is/was make at Kentucky Truck Assembly plant outside of Louisville KY. Unlike the F-150 which is assembled at three different plants (Norfolk, Kansas City, and Dearborn) the Super Duties are only made at KTP.

Ford makes SuperDuties in Mexico too. All X's are made at KTP.

Yep, I should of prefaced that by saying all Super Duty's that are for US sale are built at KTP. They do build SD's at Cuautitlan in Mexico, and in Sao Paulo Brazil at Sao Bernardo Truck assembly. None of these trucks are sold in the US though.

Do you think maybe a few Super Dutys made in Mexico or Brazil were sold in the US? I seen a few f-150s LOBO trucks in my state. (Or it could be there were brought over to the US by the owner though.)

I think SuperDuties made in KY have a SN# that starts with a #1 and Mexico SN's start with a #3.

Are you 100% sure about this. Verify that the first digit in the VIN is a "3", indicating Mexico as the country of origin.

This is absolutly right!!. The 2004 (new P221 F-150) LOBO is built in Kansas City for export TO Mexico. I know for a fact that the Cuautitlan Mexico plant STILL builds the OLD PN96 F-150. I also asked around here at work and almost everyone said that they DO NOT export Super Duties from the Mexico plant to the US/Canada market. The VIN decoder means nothing, the numbering convention 1=US, 2=Canada, 3=Mexico is the same for ALL car manufactures.
