Growling!!!
I've noticed on my '01 sport trac that sometimes when the truck has sat up that it makes a growling noise when I first crank it. It sounds like a diesel truck starting. Any idea what this might be?

I think we need some more info on this.
When exactly does the noise occur? as soon as you turn the key? before the engine fires? after?
And can you get somebody to help pinpoint where the noise is coming from, that would help a lot.
