Good deal or not?

My brother-in-law really likes my '04 F150 Heritage super cab and wants to find an F150 to be his daily driver. He is a full-time college student and doesnt have alot of extra money to burn so he is looking for a great deal.

Anyway, we found a local truck that appears to be in fantastic condition. It is a 2002 F150 XL super cab with the 4.2L V6. It has 40/60 cloth front seat, drop-in bedliner, pinstripes, chrome stock 16" wheels, Stock CD player, Overhead console with compass and temp guage. The truck looks brand new on the outside and inside. It does not have a frame hitch installed. The carfax is clean as well. The owner just replaced the MAF, O2 sensors, EGR valve, TPS, DPFE, and cleaned the TB. The tranny fluid is bright red and it shifts smoothly in all gears. It drives smooth and runs quietly. It starts quick and feels nice and tight. I looked at the brakes (OK), Balljoints (OK), Tires (New Michelins). The truck has 124,000 miles and the owner is asking $7950 for it. Does this sound like a good deal?

Well, since nobody bothered to reply I'll close this out with our final decision. We elected to pass on this truck based upon mileage. We will probably find him a similar truck with 65-75k miles instead.

Sorry I didn't respond. My home computer has been sick with a "bug" so my access has been limited.
I would have suggested negotiating a lower price or looking elsewhere.
The mileage is not really a big concern (assuming proper maintenance) but the price based on mileage is a bit high.
If it all checked out mechanicaly, I'd see if you can get it for $6500 - $7000.
That would be a decent price I'd think.
I treally is a nice looking truck and I'd imagine it has lots of life left in it.

I think that price is not too bad on the eastern shore of MD stripper 97-2003 white work trucks are going from anywhere from 6000-10000
