It's been a while...

Just stopping by to say hello to all the 4.2'ers. Brian, how's it goin man?! It's been a while since I've been here...how are things?

Well, I no longer own a 4.2 . I now own an '04 F350. It's very nice. I am hot-shotting in Texas now with that truck FWIW.

Anyways, are any of the old gang still here? Busa? JimmyDean? Anyways, can't believe you're still rockin' and rollin' here Brian, you've done a good job.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for stopping by.
Glad you're doing OK and hope you like your F350. That's a big 'ol truck!

Things continue to chug along just fine. I guess I'm at that point in life where if anything changes, it's generally not good, so I'm happy.

Stop back in some time.

Heh, it got rid of itself really...

Got up one cold morning, and it absolutely refused to start. I couldn't get it to even warm the glow plugs, much less fire up. So I figured, put more $$$ into this thing every week to keep it going, or pay for a new one once a month. I couldn't resist!

I understand. I keep two old Ford Diesels going at work 1988 F250 IDI 7.3 (300000 miles)with a reefer top and a 1995 F250 powerstroke (190000) with a reefer top. Both of these old truck can be a pain to keep moving.

The Ford gasers at work run well, 1996 F150 300I6, 1988 F250 300I6, 2001 F150 4.2, 2000 E250 Cube 4.2 The gas engines all seem to be trouble free while the diesels always have an issue or two.

The two 300 inline six engines we have run great the 1988 is going to the parking lot in the sky due to severe rust. The 1996 has spent it's whole life as either a fleet truck down in Georgia or our whipping truck.

both of the 300 motors are stout down low but, have no top end at all. The 4.;2 do not have the low end torque but, outpower on the top end.
