Talking My New Sound/video Clip!

http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...845&original=1

Sorry guys but it takes you off-site. It is the only site I belong to where I can upload video.

The video is extra special as you get to hear my voice. You see, all these years of reading my posts you always thought I sounded like you.

Let me know if it doesn't work for you. You'll need Windows Media Player to view.

Pictures are located here. Pics

I ran out of time to put them in my gallery here.

Sounds pretty Good. Was that all custom or purchased? Also how much of a difference did you notice in performance from stock?

Hey Ken, that exhaust tip looks familiar. How did the install of the muffler and tailpipe go, many modifications? IMO that's about the best sound you can get out of a V10. Yours sounds real close to mine. The thing I like about it is that increased interior noise is minimal. Hope you like it, I love mine!

nwo, the Monster Exhaust came from Banks via kenneBF250V10. (I got a great deal even with shipping. )

The Y is from Flowmaster.

A tad bit of mods had to happen to the Monster Exhaust for it to fit my Excursion as it was originally designed for a CC SB. The rear hanger had to be relocated on the tailpipe and the tailpipe itself shortened about 2.5" were it meets up with the muffler.

So now the tailpipe and muffler are welded together instead of clamped but clamped up front with a small tack weld in front of the clamp.

Total cost for all that was $75.

The Y was fabbed up per pictures of skipperw's. Cost to do that was $125 + $37 for the Y.

~~~~~~~~~~~
I heard a V10 pass by today with a FM40 on it. This setup is SOOOO much deeper than that. I'm real happy with the sound!
Ken the next time you are pulling one of your trailers be sure to roll down one of your passenger side windows when slowing down. With the trailer pushing you and the motor is braking it sounds great from 1900 rpm down. The Banks system has a sound all its own.
Nice...
That way that "12-year-old" took off, I thought the tires were going to spin for sure
the sound,
boy, I guess these V10's sound pretty much the same no matter what kind of exhaust we hang on em. This sounds remarkably similar to mine. Although I'd bet the interior drone doesn't make you want to jam your head into a vat of boiling acid at 60-70 mph like mine does. I like the sound, does it sound like a cumapart to me ? Not at all, because it really is very similar to my exhaust sound.
