how much does yall's junk weigh?

like i said...i was just wondering if yall have weighed your junk...

mine weighed 5,860 without me in it with 25 gallons of gas, and my tailgate i have on there now.... i carry about 500 lbs of tools and recovery gear

how much does yall's junk weigh?? have you made any changes that made big differences?

when i run in bogs i take everything out of the cab, empty the toolbox, and take out the jack, as well as loose the toolbox and all my recovery gear....nex bog i may take the front bumper and winch off...i thinking that would get me aorund 52-5400

i was just surprised i wasnt closer to 7k....

lets hear it

mines a 79 f-250 with 60 front, sterling rear, stock brakes....460/435/205, 1410 hd shaft in the rear....rear pipe bumper with d-rings, front warn winch bumper with 8274...headers single exhaust etc etc

76 f-100 lwb body w/ undercoating on it, and cut out fenders, im missing the heater and carpet

Been meaning to get mine weighed. With all the junk in and on it it must be pretty heavy.

My 79 supercab wieghs in at just shy of 5400 lbs,
The 03 diesel is at 6800 lbs
& the 49' ????? soon to be found out, hopfully between 4000 & 4500 lbs,

You could shave a few pounds by going to half ton disc brakes front & rear, then remove your stock bench seat & build a light wieght seat mount for a couple RCI or summit race seats, also a lexan or plexiglass rear window would be a few pound lighter than stock,

Bit's n' Pieces weighs in right at 4800ish lbs after a bog, its an 80 3/4ton (swiss cheese frame believe it or not does make a difference by at least a couple hundred lbs), the body line on the bottom of the truck front to back both sides, everywhere but the cab was removed, inner rear fender removed, and plastic front inner fender were replaced by homemade canvass fenders, front gas tank removed, exhaust heat sheilding removed along with any useless hangers and junk, aluninum 4v intake, single exhaust chopped a foot behind the cab no muffler, front pice of metal from the bumper to the bottom of the grill trim removed, grill removed, well actually fell out , washer fluid resivour removed, in the interior the rubber mat was removed, stereo and speakers removed, glovebox removed, plastic kick panels/sun visors and trim along the windshield removed. Thats about all i can remember, but i know i missed a few items

Rest of the truck has a 400/nv-435/np-205, 60front/10.25rear 35x16x16.5 boggers, leafs' and dropped suspension mounting points.

Few things i want to do is to replace the rear bumper with a piece of square tubing (likely 1/4x3x3), seal it and plumb it for an air tank, i want to put a set of half decent comfortable raceing seats in place of the bench and a few other things that should drop another 150lbs.
