anyone know where to get USED roll bars / light bars?

Ive been looking for one of these for about 2 weeks now...

There have been a few deals on eBay, except they are like 500 miles away and shipping isnt an option. Ive searched the classifieds on here, Ive searched 3 bone yards by me and Ive posted just about everywhere I could think of, anybody know of any "used truck parts" websites out here?

if you are just wanting the "roll bar" for looks and a light mounting point, what about building your own with P.V.C. plastic pipe and paint it. new steel light bars are big $ even just black painted.

PVC is not an option, its going on a $65,000 truck, there is no way Im mounting $1500 of equipment on a PVC roll bar.

The only reason I havent bought a new one is because NOBODY seems to make one that bolts to the bed floor anymore. Everyone makes them to go on the bed rails and such, which is not an option.

Thanks for the responce though.

doesnt really matter actually, Im gonna have to cut it and reweld it anyway, its not going on a pickup bed, its going on a utility body, but Smittybuilt, Westin, ect all have some new creative way of mounting them and/or only offer Stainless finishes and such.

actually, I was able to find a contact that has some mandrel bent 3" aluminum which as long as I can get 60* & 30* bends, I should be able to build one from scratch, so I might not need one now anyway

this is the truck

The lightbar on this truck was closer to $2100, but the bar Im building for the utility body is going to be for mounting 4 KC Daylighters, traffic controller arrow stick and the VHF and UHF antennas.

Is that your personal vehicle? cause I never knew you could purchase your own vehicle I thought you drove what the county supplied, but that thing doesn't look like a everyday rescue truck, custom rims and all.

no, it belongs to the fire company that has their name all over it. I just happened to be a member who also does custom work on cars and trucks, so Im doing everything in my power to make this truck exactly what we want it to be.

Oh, alright thats a good thing as long as you get around all the codes, I know there are things the county cars, trucks ect. have to have and cant have (at least here some like ambulance services are like that ( I used to work for one)

Cool, come on down, we have a work detail every Sunday morning so there will be plenty of guys at our house from at least 9am - 12pm.

I'm not in charge of our shirts, but one of the guys that is might be able to work out an exchange with you. Here's what we have currently: http://www.barnegatlightfire.org/store.htm

I also posted some more pictures of the truck here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=493737
