When I first got my Excursion it was getting 9mpg around town, hence my username, but after a couple tanks of fuel (hand checked, overhead computer was within .1 mpg!!!!) and adjusting tire pressures and new air filter and mobil1 synthetic 5w-20 I started getting 10mpg around town. stock height stock tire size and I think I have 3.73 gears. On the highway I get 15mpg at 70mph and 14mpg at 80mph.
Ok so may be bringing this thread from the dead but be cool to see it going again.
2002 Ford F250 4x4 V10 Crew Cab 4.10s 126000 miles airaid intake filter, banks power pack exhaust, chipped just don't know which one, 2005 front grille and bumper along with running boards. 15MPG highway and 17 long distance hand calculated. Running 285 75 R16 tires have a weather gaurd truck box.
I have a 2008 F250 V10 Crewcab 4.1 shortbed 4x4 stock, and I get 8.5mpg around town (light foot) and 11.5 Highway at 65mph. Some of the 13+ numbers you guys are posting blow me away. I am currently on 1/4 tank remaining and made it 180 miles of mixed driving with the first 3/4... it's a one hell of a machine but wow consumes huge amounts of fuel.
