Banks six gun
Whats up guys. Just got my 06 psd and love it. I had a 96 previously. My question is has anyone used the new Banks six gun tuner and speed loader?
I am planning on getting an intake exhaust and tuner soon and i am not sure what to get. I dont tow anything really heavy just want performance.

Get it, You will not be sorry. If you look back a few days you will see a thread on this. I have Six Gun, speed loader, and Exhaust. There was a guy here who smoked an identical truck with the SCT by about a truck length. You may get a lot of Banks Bashers coming on this thread, but that is mostly because they program, or sell the product. i do neither, just use.

banks system 05 or even 03-04. with the six gun plus speed loader and exhaust. heck ill even let you have the inner cooler.

We sell all the banks stuff and edge, bullydog, so on and whoever. My partner has everything you can buy from banks for a 7.3L Excursion something that big shouldnt run like it does.
But, the 6.0L you can do the same or better with just a tuner, intake and exhaust. No power elbow, factory intercooler, factory turbo, the 6.0L is just much easier. I have to say we get info on lower EGT's from Banks it seems. I myself like the Bullydog stuff cause the outlook works with everything from what i understand. So, if you change tuners you should be able to use the same monitor. That will be my next purchase. Good luck!

Nice thread, but most of the thread has issues with warranty. I am sure that innovative won't cover your truck warranty either. You are probably right, your truck will out run mine. But what has your race tune done to keep your truck running within limits. My guess is nothing. At least Banks has went the extra step to monitor EGT's. But come on, these trucks were built to tow not drag. If you want a drag car, then buy a drag car. If you want a reliable truck to tow with then get a Ford Super Duty. I bought the Banks system because I want reliablilty from a trusted company, not "George" down the street with a laptop and some ability to change the parameters of my engine. With Banks I can have plenty of HP and TQ and still tow safely.

about 200 less then stock.
lets see cans the banks turn on the pilot injection back on. NO
lock and unlock the convertor with the tow haul button. NO
can the banks turn off the egr. NO
can the banks turn on exhaust brake function. NO
how about the fact that you brought up the race in fact not me .
so get it straight .
how about dollars per horse/power .
a trusted company wait till you have a problem with it and then tell me how happy you are.
i will put my street tune in and still smoke your butt.
and tell me when your trasmission fries with no control over the hp increase.
GET A CLUE.

My Guess That The Sct Tuner That Fellow Was Running Had The "out Of The Box" Tunes. Where Sct Really Shines Is In The Ability To Do Custom Tunes, Like Junior Mentioned. I Was Totally Unimpressed With My Sct, Until I Had Tadd @ Ats Do The Custom Tunes....whoa,....down Girl!:-x01. He Also Calibrated For My Larger Tires. Quite Impressed Now I Must Say:-d

I sell them all and I still like the banks. Its a nice product and it does have its place, and its use as much as any other. There are so many tunes out there, and each has its own "personality". You may not enjoy my fovorite product....but that cool...cause I may not like yours. To each there own, rather than bashing reputable products, just add informed responses related to your experiances. I see alot of Bank's bashind on multiple sites, and its not because trannies actually go bad because of Bank's....but because there are folks that wanted more than Bank's gave, and as they progressed they looked down on the Bank's as if it were an inferiour product. If I worked my truck hard....towing, hauling extreme loads.....I may wish to go with Banks over just about anyone. It all depends on your expectations, your resulting desires, and what you feel makes the "Perfect personality" out of a tune. I could never tell you what you will be the most happy with.....because I am not you!

It is funny how you got NO2, Propane, ETC. on your truck, and you like ******* everyone else cause they don't agree with you, or buy the same things as you. Well tough. In this hick town guys like that are called Bullies, and I love kicking their Asses!! By the way, my tone didn't change till now.

As a sidenote, I can assure you that you won't win anything around here with that attitude. Try the Diesel Stop though, it works quite well over there
As far as your "tone change", you went from cocky and arrogant about beating a SCT tuned truck to the old "well trucks aren't race cars" story when someone challenges you- typical cop-out. I'm sorry to announce that you are nothing special around here, so you can drop the pissing contest and ***-kicking threats and get over yourself- really showing our age with that, arent we? 15, 16 years old?
