4 wheel drive broken
My 98 ranger xlt has the electronic 4x4 dial stitch & the 4x4 hasn't worked since I heard a loud clunk while taking off a few weeks ago. Today I had the truck dialed to 4x4 & I deliberately got stuck in snow. I left it in gear, tires spinning at idle, & got out & looked underneath. The propeller shaft & passenger front cv shaft were spinning, but the passenger tire was not. (neither was the driver side, obviously) So I guess I have a hub locking problem. I don't know much about the system ford uses to lock the hubs. Can anyone enlighten me & maybe make a suggestion about how I should procede from here?

Due you know if they are Vaccum activated or not? I dont' rember the years that had the vaccum hubs on them but I know they was a pain.
