The rating plate paint code on my 1977 F150 is "BR". This is a two tone paint code, I know that the B and R indicate the actual two digit/letter code I need in order to request the right paint. I checked Mil1ion's (sp) site which has the data for a '78 but it apparently is not the same as for '77. Anyone offer any advice?
Yeah, I already looked at that page, probably got it from your site. Dark jade metallic and light jade would be an interesting combination wouldn't it. Mines a metallic green with a white top. I'm sure of the BR as I did a rubbing of the data plate, much easier to read that way.
From the chips I'd say "jade poly". Dark jade metallic is too, well, dark.
No, I took my drivers test in this truck in 1977, despite many miles of teenager driving it still has the same drivers door. I agree with what BR decodes to, but.... I was hoping 77 paint codes were different than 78. Thanks for the help.
