We found out after we moved in that the dog next door was well known to the other neighbours for it's constant barking.

We handled it a lot differently.

At first I mentioned to the people that while they are away and leave the dog out in the yard ,it barks incessantly and it is Very annoying.

What are you going to do about this ?

The woman said the dog doesn't listen to her and it's her husband's dog.

I mentioned it isn't fair to own a dog and just ignore it...the dog is looking for attention, You have 3 kids that could walk it every day and we think this would stop some of the barking.

A few weeks go by with nothing being done.

Next time I saw her I told her that unless you do something right away to curb the barking ,the neighbours will get together and solve this issue by having the dog removed.I understand you have already received numerous letters from ther town about this.
Why aren't you abiding by the request ?

Buy an anti-bark collar at the very least.

Heck , Michelle has now offered to take Baron for a wa;l if you are all going to keep ignoring him.Maybe she couls find a better home for him of she went looking.

This all happened in 2004.
These days the dog is better as we have our 3 puppies and they go to the fence to socialize with Baron.It seems to have contented him.

Last summer I was accused by the guy to phoning the toen on him and his dog.
I told him, I don't do that sort of thing. I go right to the source and mentioned it to Cheryl.Then, If you don't have the decency to take every means possible to shut the dog up, the authorities will be called in because you are doing anything.

I agree with everyone that said the dog needs attention. As I am typing, the neighbors dog is barking and will do so for probably 20 minutes or so. before they let him in. That is the good neighbor dog. I feel that it is the owner of the dogs personal responsability to keep the dog quiet. When my dogs start barking, I make them come inside and scolding them. I won't let them bark and bark like some people do. My inlaw's neighbor had a beagle that is penned up in a 6x10 dog run and they never pay any attention to it and all it does is howl and bark. I just don't understand why people want a dog and then never pay attention to them.
