Click and Clack

Click and Clack (the Tappet Brothers) on NPR are of the opinion that biodiesel, and especially WVO, will irreparably damage rubber seals and components of a modern diesel engine. (Check out their website at cartalk.com, search for diesel)
Anyone care to comment on the veracity of their opinions?
Otherwise, I love listening to their show and get a good chuckle every time I do.

Sure on older cars but newer cars and trucksall have viton or other resistant type hoses that Bio does not effect. WVO does not even hurt the old rubber.

I've often wanted to cal in and talk to them about WVO and my truck. I too love their show.

I think its stuff made before 94 where you have issues. Newer stuff, to my understanding is made with Viton.

I saw that clip on dirty jobs, he even shows newer fuel line on that older pickemuptruck.
