Welcome to the site, that truck is pretty rare as far as I can tell. I've only seen one other one. This is a great site for info and people willing to share their knowledge.

MBBFord, why do you say it's rare? Think it may be a super camper? Do you know the build numbers on those? I have one, just curious.

ford never ever made a C/S in a dually version. all F-350 trucks with the dually option were chassis cabs. beds were not standard until 79.

I don't know much about her origin. However from nose to tail she is 24 feet long. The last owner made a make shift bed out of 2 making the bed 11 feet long. She has a full four door cab and I have just recently aquired a 460 to replace the 429 the former owner installed. I have been told it is a Canadian Transport and was used as a sun city carrier in her newer days. I have found only two others within a 100 miles of were I am. Granted the salt up here in the winter does a number on them.

From the photo in your gallery it looks like it has bed from a super camper special with a piece added onto the front of it. The super campers had the panel on the side for a spare tire. It's certainly unique.

the dually pick up was not an option until the 80 model year, and it was only as a 2 wheel drive, not as a 4 wheel drive.there are no factory dually pick up truck boxes in 1979 or the years prior to 1980.ive researched this very extensivly,as i have had a custom built dually for over 20 years.i was looking for anything that indicated ford made dually pick ups of any type in the years prior to 1980.they did not.the truck in those pics looks like a cab/chassis that has a stetched scs box.someone really stretched that fram and box a lot.its cool, but likely not a factory deal.-billy

Cool, a 24 foot pickup! You could use a small travel trailer as a camper shell, LOL!

Exclamation

million ,i stand by what i said earlier, the ford NEVER made a dually pick up until 1980 model and only a 2 wheel drive. im sure you may be looking at a78 f350 dually c/s,but it wont be a factory dually pick up,(i looked at your pic of the truck you mentioned, its obvious its not a factory dually),simply because ford never even had dually pick up boxes designed until 1980.im not sayin the truck doesnt exist, but its definately not factory.i have pics of a 74 dually PICK UP too,its my truck, but its NOTfactory,i built it because after researching the subject for many years,i realized they did not exist.so i made my own.ive had dually trucks for 25 years, before people thought they were cool.im pretty educated on what is ,and is not factory.so your welcome to disagree with me,but that wont change the facts.-billy

that 78 dosent have a standard pick up bed it has a stake bed, they were made but they came as a cab on a chassis no bed. that picture of that 78 c/s is not factory becuase the fenders dont cover the wheels.
