I asked that they quote the same policy as Sneed. I assume it was as close as they had.

Joe

My 54 merc has a State Farm classic car policy with a stated value of $18,000 and it's about $260.00 a yr (really only 6 mo here). Before i started the latest tune up on the 56 it was insured as a daily driver for about $180.00 every 6 mo but that was 4 yrs ago will find out shortly how much it's went up.

Could it be the area that you live in? I know when we were going to move to Navada I checked the insurance prices and all the cars/trucks were double and the motorcycle was triple.

My 51F1 is my daily driver and it's also insured with State Farm. I drive my truck to pick up parts and supplies for the city, so I have regular full coverage on it. My 80 Corvette was hit while parked by a fellow State Farm members motorhome a few months ago. Because it's the same insurance company they are giving me a major run around over the repair cost. I brought them two body shop repair quotes and they refuse to honor them saying that much damage couldn't have been done.

My wife and I have used Country Insurance for years. House, trucks, sleds, ATV, etc... Excellent customer service. My wife's "friend" totalled her sled a couple years ago and we were very quickly reimbursed by Country Insurance. I'll check the price for my '53 when I get home tonight. I believe it is currently insured for around $8K.

I would assume that if location were a factor, then Sneed would consider it in their rate also. I will call my agent back and ask about "classic car" coverage, although you would think that if they could be competitive with Sneed they would have been. Let you know. Joe

I have my 3 primary vehicles with State Farm and when I added my 56 they charged me $56.00 every 6 months. The gave me full coverage, with no restrictions, and a replacement value of $15,000.
