3 On the Tree P/S problems
My three speed standard power steering column broke. Gearshifter moves all over the place but doesnt move the rods to the trans. I had hoped to find another one but I think my truck is the only one left w/this setup. So I have to fix the one I have. I took the wheel off, removed the blinker assembly but I cant get the collar that the blinker assembly bolted to off. I would bet that that piece is the same on all columns. I've tried just pulling and moved it 1/4 of an inch (yes, I removed the 2 bolts). How does it come off??

Those two bolts have square heads. One flat side fits into a slot the same size on the column tube. You may have to try pushing and wiggling the bolts until they disengage from the slot so the collar will come off the column.
