Ok guys i've ran the whole gambit of trying to get the vibration in my truck resolved, but to no avail. I live in VA. and now I've reported it to the BBB and they are going to schedule me for arbitration if I so desire. Ford said they would give me a 5 year 100,000 mile extended "premimum care" warranty to drop the complaint.
My question is should I just take the Ford offer or go to arbitration? The BBB said I qualify for the VA state lemon law and I've provided all the documentation they require. Does anyone know what my odds are of winning?
thanks,
glenn

Well I just needed someone to agree with me on this matter. So I'm going ahead with arbitration. Of course there is no guarantee that I will win. The BBB said it would be up to the arbitrator to decide. That they would probably have an expert drive my truck and then make the decision. Even though it qualifies under the State Lemon Law it is no guarantee that I will win.
Thanks,

well I dont know the specifics of VA lemom laws but I would assume it defines a lemon, then defines what a car manufacturer must do if a car is deemed a lemon. What is to arbitrate? I hope you read the fine print before you signed anything agreeing to arbitration, you may have agreed not to go to court if it is a binding arbitration.. Im also not sure why the BBB is involved, but again I have not read the law in VA, I hope you have.

bcjim,
Now, when you file a complaint with Ford it automatically goes to the BBB. Ford no longer does its own. The BBB is handling all of the specifics and I haven't had to sign any papers. I agreed to let Ford have one more shot at it and they replaced the tires. This is after 3 other attempts. The BBB said that because I had it in the shop 3 times or more within the first 18 months of ownership for the same problem, then that qualifies me for the Lemon Law. It doesn't mean that I automatically win, but that the BBB is forcing Ford to go to arbitration if I so desired. Ford made me an offer which I refused so the BBB is scheduling me an appoint with the Arbitration in Richmond VA. It's basically the same as before except it is being handled by the BBB.
I hope that makes sense.
